MFT has been serving artists and audiences in central Indiana for 20 years. We maintain an archive of music created by local artists featuring hundreds of artists and thousands of songs. For the most part, this music is only available on MFT.
We provide a weekly central-Indiana show round up, Listen Local. We create new music through programs like EP in a Weekend. We serve as a resource connecter for the music community to the civic infrastructure.
MFT is celebrating our 20th anniversary on October 11th and 12th in Bloomington, Indiana with a 2-day festival that will see the reunions of many of the bands that were initially part of the MFT archive. More information available here.
Interested in getting involved with MFT? Reach out via email and we will set up a time to talk.
Musical Family Tree is a 501c3 non-profit. We survive primarily off of our sponsorship and donations. As an all volunteer organization, almost all of the money going to MFT goes directly to serving Indiana artists. We are always accepting donations and looking for sponsorship and partners for our programming and events. We are always looking for people who are passionate about Indy’s music culture who want to help out.
